Q. How long does it take to groom my pet?
A. It depends on the size of dog but approximately 1-2 hours. We usually take in a few dogs about 10:00 and have them finished in the afternoon. They all get lots of toilet breaks, Fresh water and breaks from the Grooming table also.
My Dog's coat keeps getting matted, how can I avoid this?
A.With regular grooming and brushing and the proper brush being used, knots and tangles can be prevented. Always brush your dog before the bath as the suds tighten up any knots. Try not to bath your Dog much between Grooming visits. This can encourage matting of the coat if not blow dried properly or if the soap isn't thorughly washed out.
Q. Why is matting bad for my dog?
A. A dog with a severely matted coat is sometimes unable to regulate their body temperature and can overheat easily. Matting can be extremely uncomfortable on a dog as the knots/matts are so entwined that they start pulling at the dogs skin. Many dogs whose coats are matted have to be clipped off as the hair cannot be brushed out when the knots become too tight. Severe matting encourage bacteria and parasites to make their home there.
Q. Should I feed my dog before his visit to the grooming parlour?
A. No, It is best to feed them after grooming incase of any unwanted accidents.
Q. Should I wash my dog between visits?
A. NO. Washing your dog between grooms is only likely to cause any knots present on the dog to tighten up more which increases the risk of the coat having to be shaved.
